Sun Block Window Film FAQ
What is the difference between sun block film and regular heat reduction film?
Sun block film is the maximum-strength option. While standard heat reduction film rejects up to 79% of solar heat, sun block films reject up to 82% of total solar energy. They are designed for the most extreme exposure situations: west-facing facades, skylights, atriums, and warehouses where temperatures can exceed 45°C without treatment.
Will sun block film make my building look dark from outside?
Sun block films are available in dark, medium, and light tint levels. The darkest options provide maximum heat rejection but reduce visible light to 15-20%. Medium tints balance heat blocking with 35-45% light transmission. We bring samples during the site survey so you can see each option on your actual glass.
Is sun block film suitable for shopfront windows?
It depends on your priority. If heat is your main issue and merchandise visibility is secondary, sun block film works well. For retail where window displays need to be visible from outside, a lighter solar control film may be a better fit. We assess each situation during the site survey.
